ATLAS-CCM Consortium
The ATLAS-CCM Consortium is an international, multicenter research initiative dedicated to advancing the understanding of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM). By integrating high-resolution MRI data with clinical and genetic information, the consortium applies advanced voxel-based analytical approaches to investigate the spatial distribution, pathophysiology, and clinical behavior of CCM.
Building on established methodologies from neuro-oncological imaging research, ATLAS-CCM aims to identify imaging-derived patterns associated with hemorrhage risk, symptom development, and disease progression. A key objective is to differentiate spatial and biological characteristics between sporadic, familial, and genetically defined CCM subtypes.
The consortium provides a collaborative platform for standardized data collection, secure data sharing, and joint analysis across international centers. Through this integrative approach, ATLAS-CCM seeks to generate robust, reproducible insights that can ultimately improve risk stratification and support personalized clinical decision-making in patients with CCM.
